UNICEF to support establishing Early Childhood Education (ECE) centers in PEF partner schools
A joint PEF-UNICEF meeting was held at the head office of Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) to mull over establishing early childhood centers (ECE) at selected PEF sponsored schools in the Punjab. These centers would be established through support provided by the UNICEF.
The meeting was headed by MD PEF Dr. Aneela Salman. Besides her, DMD (F) Salman Anwar Malik, Director Aisha Nauman, including UNICEF’s education specialist Rubina Nadeem and education assistant Asif Ibrar, also attended the meeting.
The meeting held a detailed review of establishing ECE centers in selected PEF sponsored schools and observed that this initiative would benefit the children from deserving communities in a number of ways.
MD PEF opined that kids who take part in quality ECE are likely to be confident and curious about the world around them; and this will help them to do better than others. Quality schooling facility in early life gives such kids the best start to grow as self-confident citizen. This facility would also help kids to learn important skills that facilitate them to become strong, happy and successful in later life.
